Subconscious Mind

For years, I have been absolutely fascinated with the power of the subconscious mind. It’s power have made the sick healthy, the poor wealthy, and the sad happy. Those who understand and apply the methods for using the subconscious mind find themselves bathed in more abundance and joy than they could have ever imagined. In this article, I will explain two of the most powerful tips for harnessing and applying your subconscious mind power, to help you achieve far greater success than you have ever dreamed.

As you might already be aware of, the subconscious mind is the seat of all memory, fears, phobias, behavioral patterns, habits, beliefs, and expectations. An astonishingly true fact is that only 2-4% of our day is controlled by our conscious mind, and the other 96-98% is all done by the subconscious. 96% of all your decisions, actions, thoughts, feelings are all done automatically, unconsciously by your subconscious mind.

It is amazing to think how much our subconscious mind does for us. It beats our heart, digests our food, and breathes for us all without any conscious effort. With all of the amazing things it does, our subconscious doesn’t always do everything we want it to. Many people have realized that they have several bad habits of doing and thinking, and understand that in order to grow and prosper, those habits must be changed. But herein lies the problem most people face. How do you change the subconscious to promote success in all areas of life?

The answer is simple. You must harness the power of your subconscious mind. The first technique in order to do that is called suggestion. A suggestion is a passive statement given to the subconscious to either accept or reject. Hypnotists use the power of suggestibility to promote changes in their subjects. When a person is in a deeply relaxed state, their conscious mind is out of the way, and the gateway to the powers of subconscious is open. This is where true changes happen. In order to suggest the subconscious to change, the body and mind must be completely relaxed. A person must first have a reason to change, and accept the new suggestion. Then the suggestion for change may be given with intense emotion and desire so that the suggestion is firmly accepted.

In quick summary: Enter a deeply relaxed state – Subconscious is open to suggestion – Give suggestion and firmly accept with intense emotion.

The next subconscious mind power tip is repetition. If you are suggesting your subconscious to accept the idea of wealth in your life, using repetition can help firmly implant that idea quicker and easier. Our reptilian brain is highly receptive to ritual and repetition. Repetition of an affirmation, or suggestion, such as “I am wealthy and successful” helps firmly implant the idea deeply into the subconscious mind. Over long periods of repetition, the suggestion will reshape thinking patterns, habits, and deeply held beliefs. The entire neuronal structure of your brain will begin change in order to promote the new idea of wealth and success. And once the idea is finally accepted without doubt or question, new worlds of possibilities begin to arise.

In summary: Repetition is the tool of suggestion – Repeat an affirmation for change in a deeply relaxed state – Repeat on regular intervals to help the reptilian brain accept the suggestion (repeat affirmation with intense emotion every morning, deeply relaxed, for 10 minutes for a period of one month or more).

These two subconscious mind power tips can help you clear mental and emotional blockages in your life that are withholding your from your full potential. The power of suggestion to the subconscious mind, combined with ritualistic repetition is the ultimate key to unlocking your mind, and achieving all that you desire.

How To Start Taking Action?

Not everybody is made the same way. There are some who are born thinkers while others are born doers. There are also others who like to think about doing something but in actual fact, they never get anything done! Which group do you want to belong to? Taking action is vital if you want to achieve success in life because no amount of planning and thinking will get you anywhere! However, how do you start to take action?

Just a search online or a browse through self help books and you will discover that there are many ways to make someone become a doer, instead of just a thinker. However, the crucial part is finding out which way suits you best because not every way will be suitable for you.

How do you tell that a person is a doer, not a thinker? Action people are those who are very organized and have no problem proceeding from one project to the next. It seems as though it does not require any effort to do so. On the other hand, the thinkers are those who are very disorganized and will not be able to move from one project to another. As such, they tend to be exhausted at the end of the day as compared to the action people.

Unlike the action people, these flounders will not be able to understand why they have not accomplished anything and yet they still feel very tired. Even when they do step back to analyze each day’s work, they will tend to deceive themselves into believing that they have made some progress when in fact they have not done much for the day.

Since you are looking for help to taking action, chances are you belong to the flounders group. The good news is you have acknowledged that you need help and the first thing you need to do is to get organized. It does not matter whether you are trying to take some actions for your business or for your home; the key point is to start with a to-do list.

You know what the things you need to do are so you should prioritize them first. At the end of each day, write down the things that you have to do the next day. Make sure you arrange them in order of urgency. Have the most important one right at the top and remember to strike it off your list once you have accomplished each task. You will feel very satisfied to see each task being taken off the list. Keep in mind that you must only take it off after you have completed the job. There must not be any cheating or you will not fulfill your aim of learning to take actions.

Do not be too hard on yourself. Be sure to give yourself a reward when you have successfully completed everything on the list. It does not matter even if you have taken more than a day to complete the task. Acknowledge the fact that you have successfully accomplished it. In fact, you should give yourself a pat on the back with each task ticked off. When you have incentives you will want to achieve more.

A word of caution is that you should take note not to spend too much time making lists. If you fall into this group of people, one good suggestion to help you is that you should visualize the task that you are required to do. What this mean is to see yourself doing and completing the task in your mind. Be sure to visualize every step that you need to take. Once you have completed your visualization, you can then proceed to doing the task physically. To some people, this actually helps them to work faster as they are already sure of what they are supposed to do.

This method is able to work well because when you focus your mind on just one central thought, your thought waves become energy waves which will build up until your energy is surged up within you, making you want to take action right away. When you feel this energy in you, make sure that you take action right away before the energy sips away again.

When you are taking action, there might come a time when you face a problem and do not know how to proceed. If that happens, just take a few moments to clear your thoughts. Sleeping over the problem can sometimes help too because when you are too exhausted, your mind is not able to focus and you will lose the energy to work.

Taking action is the key to accomplishing your goals. No amount of planning will take you anywhere unless you work on it. However, regardless of whatever problem you may face, it is important to think positive and remain happy. When you are happy and positive in your thoughts, it draws positive energy and you can then achieve your goals more easily. Therefore, it is time you change how you think and you will soon also change how you act.

Setting Your Goals

“Set your goals!” I believe you’ve heard this phrase so many times in your life time that you are almost sick of it! From young, our parents, relatives, teachers or some other adult friends would like to ask about our ambition. Although they might not be using the exact words, they are indirectly telling you to set your goals.

But is setting goals really important? Why is it that most successful people and businesses perceive this process crucial for their success? If you aren’t like or are too afraid of setting your own goals for whatever reasons, I would advise you to take a serious look at this article.

Some people believe that as long as you are motivated or even ‘unstoppable’, you can do anything and everything. Yes and No! Yes, your job can be completed within the time stipulated. No, because you will end up nowhere or worse, a position that you hate. A goal is like a destination in a map, not only does it give you the direction clearly but also to show you your progress. As a matter of fact, your goal is one of the vital factors in determining if you succeed or fail.

Set your goal with your mind power. You see, your mind is powerful and it can really help you to set your goals more effectively and at the same time, more realistically.

Clear Goal

Be precise in what you are aiming for. When you set goals that are ambiguous, you will tend to lost track along the way. When your goal is not definite, you will not know if you are heading the correct way, let alone your destination. Instead of writing your personal goal “I’ll get a new car within 5 years.”, you write “I’ll drive a new BMW 730i by January 2011.”

Setting goals which are clear and specific benefit you in 3 ways.

The goals give your conscious and subconscious mind of what you want to attain. A specific goal allows your mind to paint a clearer picture of what you will have and this allows you to visualize your dream regularly.

You will be committed when you know precisely where you are heading to.

This clear goal prevents you from loosing your focus and fall back to “firefighting” on your daily problems.

Positive Goal

When setting goals, you need to be very positive about them. Focus on what you want to achieve and not what you intent to avoid. Take for instant a career goal; you should be writing down “I will be earning $100,000 per month by the age 30.” instead of “I don’t want to remain poor by the time I retire.”

When you compare the two goals, don’t you find that the formal goal gives you that energy in you and motivates you to go for it? In fact, this first goal works wonder to your subconscious mind which naturally direct you towards your dream.

You have a dream, you set your goals and you work towards it. A very simple formula towards getting what you want. Don’t bother taking any action to achieve your dream if you have not set your goal. When you strive without a clear goal, chances are you will end up reaching a wrong target. Get your pen and notebook immediately and pen down your goal now.

Mind Power and Success

The mind plays an important role in achieving every kind of success and goal, minor, everyday goals or major goals.

With minor or day-to-day goals, one usually knows what he or she wants to do or get, but when it comes to major goals, most people don't know what they really desire. They desire to do something big, but they don't know what. They might have a vague idea, but this is not enough.

To accomplish anything, and to use your mind power, you have to know exactly what it is you want to do. To focus your mind power on a goal, you need to have a clear and well defined goal. How do you go about that?

You have first to think or meditate, to find out what is it that you want to accomplish or gain. This might not be a simple step, and requires deep thinking, investigation and time.

After discovering what you really want to accomplish, you need to come up with a plan for action. You need to know what you have to do first and how to proceed. All of this requires planning, which means using the power of the mind.

After deciding on a goal and coming up with a plan, you need to hold in your mind a clear mental image of your goal. You need to see it accomplished. This step requires that you use your imagination, which is another power of the mind. Not everyone can visualize clear mental images, but regular training of the imagination can do wonders. You may, for example, look at photos of what you want to achieve, and then close your eyes, and try to see it in your imagination. This will enhance your ability to visualize.

At this point you have to display patience, self-discipline and the power to persist in your efforts. This requires a one pointed mind.

Affirmations are another useful mental tool for achieving success. What you affirm sinks into the subconscious mind, becomes part of the subconscious mind, and consequently affects your behavior and actions. If your affirmations are positive, they lead you to success.

Another important power of the mind is thought transference. You need to be able to transmit your thoughts to other people, who would aid you with your plans. Often, you have to persuade others to invest in your plans or to help you in other ways. It is not enough just to talk with them, you need to believe in what you are saying; you need to be enthusiastic and persuasive, otherwise they won't listen and won't care. You need to be able to reject your and their doubts. To be able to do so, you need concentration, control over your thoughts, willpower, self-discipline and patience. All these are mental tools and skills.

Motivation is another mental and emotional power that you require for achieving success. How can you achieve anything if you are not motivated enough? To increase your motivation and enthusiasm, think often of your goal, about its advantages and benefits, and how it will change your life. Doing so, will strengthen your motivation.

Your thoughts, which are part of your mind, possess power. The thoughts that you most often think tend to come true. If you pour your mental energy into the same thoughts or mental images day after day, they will become stronger and stronger, and would consequently affect your attitude, expectations, behavior and actions. These thoughts and mental images can even be subconsciously perceived by other people, who would then offer you help or opportunities. Your thoughts can also create what is usually termed as coincidence. They can attract into your life corresponding events, situations and opportunities.

Self Improvement: Are You Married To Your Goals?

If your dream is to be successful in life, you are not alone. Many people have dreams and want to achieve their dreams one day. They work at fulfilling their dreams and bought numerous self improvement books to help them succeed in life. However, not many of them really make it through and even fewer are able to maintain their successes. Are we all missing out on some vital links that can connect us to success or have we been left out of some top secrets?

The truth is, there really isn’t any secret to attaining success in life. The one vital point that prevented many of us from attaining success is setting goals and staying committed to our goals! If you are not married to your goals, you will not stick with it long enough to see the end results. This is when you need to make full use of your power of mind in order to achieve success!

It is not enough to simply set your goals and leave them there. You have to love your goals and stay committed to them, much like how you would love and stick with your spouse once both of them got married. Without sticking to your goals, you will not be able to stay focus and will only end up jumping from one project to the next without waiting for the first one to complete.

As such, you will remain unsuccessful and lots of incomplete projects! Any self improvement experts will tell you that loving your goals will keep you motivated and committed so it will keep you going but your goals must also not be so small that you do not see the point in accomplishing them. Set goals that are big so that you will want to enjoy your dreams at the end of it.

Do not be afraid to set goals that may seem too big for you to achieve them. As long as it is what you want to get out of life, go for it. However, be persistent in striving towards what you want regardless of how difficult it may seem at the beginning. Condition your mind into believing that you can achieve your goals and you will soon get used to working on the actions you have planned. There are in fact many who have given up even before they get started, so you need a lot of self discipline to see you through.

You will not give up on your partner before you even married him but he must definitely be someone worth marrying in the first place. Similarly, set goals that you feel are worthwhile achieving, otherwise you will tend to give up along the way. You must ensure that your goals include all things that you really want in life so you will be proud of attaining them when you are really successful.

Having said that, you must also take into considerations the achievability of your goals. Do not set goals that you know will be impossible to achieve unless you strike lottery! By that, I am referring to setting goals to achieve a million dollars in a month or less. You know that sort of goals are almost impossible to achieve and your mind will not work towards getting that. Instead, you should set long term goals for yourself.

Write down on paper what you want to achieve in the future, say 5 years. Then go on to set goals on what you want to achieve in the short term, for example, 3 years, 1 year, 6 months and then 1 month. Setting short term goals are just as vital because that will take you a step closer to attaining long term goals.

Once you have your goals in place, the next important thing to do is to work at achieving these goals. Remember, in order to be successful at self improvement, you must be committed to working hard to achieve your goals. Follow the above mentioned tips and success will be yours very soon.

Achieving Goals Using Your Power Of Mind!

Are you finding difficulties in achieving goals that you have set for yourself? If your answer is yes, then chances are you are not harnessing your power of mind. If you have learnt how to work your mind power to its fullest potential, you will be able to achieve your goals, however wild your dreams may seem. So how do you unleash your mind powers and make it work to your advantage? In this article, you will learn 5 tips to help you achieve that aim.

1. Positive Thinking
If you are keen in achieving goals using your power of mind, you have to ensure that you only allow positive thoughts in your mind. I know you will say that it is easier said than done because even optimists will have their fair share of unhappy moments. However, the least that you can do is to make an attempt to drive the negative thoughts out whenever they creep into your mind.

Negative thoughts will only cause you harm as you will become very unmotivated for the whole day if you entertain negative thoughts in your mind. The numerous problems weighing down on your shoulder will cause you to think of how incapable you are and you will not achieve anything at the end of the day.

2. Keeping An Open Mind
There are many individuals who depend greatly on their five senses. What this means is that they do not believe in things that do not fit into the boundaries of what their five senses can pick up. However, these individuals do not realize that they are in fact restricting their mind power. In order to set your mind free so as to achieve more success via your power of mind, you have to keep an open mind.

You must learn to accept that things that happen do not necessarily have to fit into what your five senses can pick up. Once you unleash your limitless mind power, you will be able to perceive events that have not yet happened as well as achieve whatever goals that you have set for yourself.

3. Visualization
Visualization is an important step to unlocking your mind power. Experts in mind power will tell you that in order to make your dreams come true, you will have to convince your subconscious mind power that you are fully capable of achieving the goals that you have set for yourself. The best way to do so is none other than to visualize your dreams everyday so that your subconscious mind believes that it has already happened and with your focused mind, you will be able to easily achieve your dreams. Visualization may not be easy at the beginning but with much practices, you will be able to do it well.

4. Self Discipline
If you have decided on using your power of mind to achieve your goals, you need to be prepared to exercise lots of self discipline during your path to success. Not only do you need to be disciplined enough to carry through with your action plan, you must also be disciplined enough to practise your visualization exercises daily, preferably at the start of the day, as well as to prevent yourself from thinking negatively. Be prepared that it is going to take time before you are successful in unleashing your mind power but it will happen so you must have self discipline in order not to give up along the way.

5. Learning From A Mentor
When you are learning to unleash your mind power, you have a choice of either engaging the help of a personal coach or read up self improvement books to learn from what these experts have to say. Getting the help of a personal coach will cost you a bomb but if you can afford it, by all means engage the help of one. On the other hand, if you intend to learn from books on your own, it is not difficult but you will have to really pay attention to what the experts have to say. Experts such as Brian Tracy have a lot of tips to teach you so once you have found a professional whom you can trust, you must get ready to listen hard and take action on what you have learnt.

Learning to unleash your mind power so as to be successful in achieving goals that you have set is not difficult as I have shown you above. However, you must be prepared to take action because it is useless to simply read and absorb the information without taking steps in making your mind power work for you.
